Monte Gordo

The Monte Gordo Hotel - Apartments & Spa is located, as its name suggests, in Monte Gordo, a former fishing village connected to Vila Real de Santo António by an extensive pine forest, at the easternmost end of southern Portugal.

Since the 1960s, the town has been chosen as a destination by Portuguese and foreign tourists for whom the long beach with the warmest waters in the country is one of the main attractions.

As the town is on one level, with one of the highlights being the fine seafront avenue in Portuguese crazy paving ("calçada") cobblestones, it is ideal for walks and bicycle rides. Here you will also find the Casino and a wide range of bars and restaurants.
